Norwegian Input is based on the idea of language immersion with comprehensible input. Comprehensible input is input that you receive and can understand the meaning of. This is how you learned your mother tongue when you were a child. It means that you will only watch content that is completely in Norwegian. You should watch content that you can understand. There will be several levels of videos. Starting with superbeginner level where you can understand the content with a lot of visual aids, together with slow and clear pronunciation. Videos at higher levels will have less visual aids and more advanced phrases, but still with clear pronunciation.

The method is really not about learning a language, but instead acquisition of a language. With acquisition your brain builds subconscious language structures, without you having to think about studying grammar, translating words or pronunciation. If you have enough interesting content and spend enough time on Norwegian content regularly, you will understand more and more Norwegian. First it is recommended to only watch and listen, just like a baby does first. Then when the level of understanding is high enough, you can start reading and speaking. Reading and speaking come much later than in traditional language learning that you are used to from school.
